Dec 13, 2022admin

What can you drink when following a ketogenic diet? Water is, of course, the easiest alternative, but there are other simple options available to those who want to treat themselves to a keto-friendly beverage.

1. Infused waters

Nothing could be simpler than infusing water. The flavor can vary according to your desires: mint, lemon, ginger, cucumber, or other alternatives such as strawberry and mint, lemongrass (be careful pregnant women, it is to be avoided), or tea: green, black, white, blue… Just let the infusion cool with ice cubes, and mix, if you want, with a keto-compatible sweetener.

➡️ The big plus: the carbohydrate count is virtually zero, which allows you to have a fresh drink to drink all day long!

2. The gourmet hot chocolate

Hot chocolate is often loaded with sugar. ?‍? An alternative for cold days is to prepare a delicious gourmet hot chocolate without sugar , therefore completely compatible with a ketogenic diet.

Indulging in this sugar-free hot chocolate is extremely simple.

30 grams of sugar-free milk chocolate pastilles (or a mixture of sugar-free milk chocolate and sugar-free dark chocolate)

50 to 70 grams of keto ice cream sweetener (depending on your sweet tooth)

2 drops of sugar-free vanilla extract

➡️ Bring to a boil for two minutes, stirring constantly, then lower the heat and add 120 grams of whole cream, stirring constantly, until the mixture is hot.

And here is a comforting drink with very few carbohydrates.

Serve with keto whipped cream or keto marshmallows.
